Montse Liarte graduated in Fashion Design from the BAU School (Barcelona) in 2006. She completed her studies with courses in tailoring and advanced sewing techniques.
She started working with Elisa Amann for Josep Font's second line and for Desigual

In 2007, she won the "Premi ModaFAD Millor Col·lecció 2007" and "Premi Gilles-Rosier París" awarded at the "Premi Catalunya Dissenyadors Emergents 2007" event.

In 2008, she moved to Paris, where she worked for the fashion designer Lutz in different sections such as design, pattern, sewing and production.

In January 2009, she returned to Barcelona creating her own brand "Montse Liarte", based on a personal, structured, sober and urban line, taking traditional dressing values and transforming them into a modern style, using tailoring and giving detail the attention it deserves on the garment. In the same way as people, clothes are full of small nuances that give garments their importance.

Her three previous collections have been shown at "080 Barcelona Fashion Week"; ss2010 "Passé Recomposé" / fw 2010-11 "Fly the bird's way" / ss2011 “Focal Point”.
