Juan Antonio Ávalos is the young Spanish designer behind the eponymous prêt-à-porter brand for men founded in 2009.
He studied fashion design in FDModa, Barcelona. During this period he worked with professionals in various fields of fashion and won his first award "Your Stilo, Your Studio" for L'Orèal Paris, Madrid.
In 2007 he completed his studies, graduating with the third prize for best collection; he was working for Antonio Miró at that time.
With only three collections on the market, Juan Antonio is considered one of the up and coming designers on the Spanish scene, in fact, his first collection was worthy of the "Catalunya Dissenyador Emergent" prize at the first 080 Barcelona Fashion event. The award catapulted him to Paris where in 2008 he worked with designers Bernhard Willhelm, developing the prints of the women's collection SS 09 and Thomas Engel Hart.
He has also worked with brands such as Nike, Converse and Superga and with photographers as Björn
Tagemose and Daniel Riera.
He was the winner of "Best menswear collection 080 Barcelona Fashion Week July 2010".
